The Lynx continued to pressure the Petrel defense coming close to a 3rd goal before the half ended with a 2-0 lead. Rhodes came out for the 2nd half strong as Sophomore Allen Orgeron tallied his first of the year within 2 minutes. The Lynx continued to control the game until Oglethorpe struck twice within 3 minutes with 30 minutes to play. Seniors Chase LaFont and Chris Chugden settled the team down from their central midfield positions and continued to build attacks forward creating scoring chances. Finally Junior Matt Averill found the net in the 86th minute with an assist from junior Jesse Cavett to put the game away. Next up for the Lynx are SCAC matches in Texas against Southwestern University (Friday at 4:00pm) and Trinity University (Sunday at Noon).
